Culturally Informed Services
Who We Are
Ryan and Jesalyn, co-owners, are a former military and LEO couple dedicated to providing culturally informed services. Confidential and discreet care is a tenant of their practice as they understand the nuances of holding a safety-sensitive position or supporting someone who does.
Jesalyn’s background as a military child and spouse combined with her education in Clinical Social Work uniquely equip her to navigate military-specific issues. Additionally, supporting Ryan throughout his career as a law enforcement officer is where her interest in competent care for public safety began. Jesalyn’s previous roles include SUD Clinician for the U.S. Navy, Market CEO for a national behavioral healthcare corporation, and public safety clinical program management for local government. She is dual licensed in the state of Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner.
Ryan honorably served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, and immediately entered the public safety field upon his contract ending. He began his career working as a Correction Officer in juvenile corrections and transitioned to a role as a Law Enforcement Officer. He served at a local department in Virginia as well as a department in Oregon, which ignited his desire to pursue his licensure as a mental health provider. Ryan holds his Bachelor’s in Psychology, Master’s of Business Administration, and is currently pursuing his Master’s of Social Work. He is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisee and manages Mission Mind Wellness’ practice.
